Unoffical MLB BK Steroid Report
All accusations are alleged of course. I am not here to talk about the past. Some of these players have been officially named as steroid users but I am working on an extensive list of the 104 players that failed drug tests in 2003, with Alex Rodriguez's test released, 103 other players are unknown... or are they? You must figure at least half or more of the players are pitchers or lesser known players that are just trying to make the team. Alex Rodriguez can't possibly be the only big name on this list.
Alex Rodriguez - The only name that we know for sure, A-Roid's test result was unfairly leaked, but leaked non the less. He could possibly go for the HR record and MLB and the fans are just in learning his test result.
The Suspects --
Jeff Bagwell - Ok, we all love this guy, but take a look at Jeff Bagwell. He dominated in the 90's, I did a Yahoo search on him to check his stats and after I finished typing in Jeff Bagwell, the word Steroids appeared automatically. This tells me that when people search about Jeff Bagwell, they are searching about whether he is a steroid user or not. His numbers were Astronomical, career .297 AVG 449 HR 1529 RBI. He hit 27 HR in 2004 and only 3 in 2005 (39 games). Now age and injury caught up with him but not as much as deflated his game looked at the end of his career, especially in the power category. After such a power career, why couldn't he pound out 15 more homers a season and bat .250 ? Why didn't he try and hang around for 500 HR or anything else to up his chance at the Hall of Fame? Maybe he didn't want the controversy and to be marked as a 500 HR steroid guy. I have no real evidence other then speculation. I hope Bagwell was a clean player and MLB does too and maybe they already know and intend to keep it unknown to the public because of what a great guy Bagwell is.
